Fr Binoy Mathew SVD and Fr George Adzato SVD are working in Blakestown Parish.

The parish has the  Mission Statement as follows:

“We, the Parish Community of St. Mary of the Servants, Blakestown, are committed to working together in providing for our community a sense of Welcome, Belonging, Acceptance, Support, Understanding, Respect and Inclusiveness as we strive to grow in and share the Message of Jesus”

Our beautiful Church in Blakestown Dublin 15 was closed down today after being the heart of this Community for 39 Years… this is a tragedy which should not have been allowed to happen and many Parishioners are outraged….. But the people are not accepting that today is the end for this Church….they believe in the positive impact a Faith Community has in any area…even if the priests do not believe that….A meeting is promised with the people by the VG Paul Callan soon and people will be listened to hopefully….This Parish was given 3 weeks notice Re this closure which is not really fair or acceptable….. Other churches have had a years notice ie Finglas…..Today’s Mass was supposed to be a celebration of thanksgiving….. none of us were ready for any form of celebration but of course others make all the decisions…..
