Posted by The World Day of the Poor began in 2017 with the theme “Let us love, not with words but with deeds.” This year, the theme is “Do not turn your face away from anyone who is poor” (Tobit 4:7). Let’s not ignore those in need on our streets; every person in poverty is a child of God, embodying Christ’s presence. As said in Matthew 25:40, our actions towards the less fortunate reflect our actions towards Christ.
