Posted by The SVD Irish-British Province warmly congratulates Fr. Paul Yang Yongde on the successful completion of his Master’s degree in Theology, with a specialisation in Bible and Spirituality, from St. Patrick’s College, Maynooth, on 8th November 2025.
Fr. Yongde’s academic journey culminated in a dissertation entitled “Martyrdom through the Lens of Maccabees 2, Chapters 6–7”, a work that reflects both scholarly rigour and deep spiritual insight. His research offers a thoughtful exploration of the theme of martyrdom as presented in the biblical texts, shedding light on the enduring witness of faith in the face of challenges.
This achievement not only marks a significant personal milestone for Fr. Yongde but also enriches the Province with his enhanced theological knowledge and pastoral insight. We are confident that his studies will continue to inspire both his ministry and the wider faith community.
We rejoice with Fr. Yongde and wish him every blessing as he continues his mission of service, guided by the Word of God and the spirit of the Gospel.
